Garment manufacturers in the nearby areas of Tirupur (India) are exploring more investment opportunities to set up new manufacturing units in Odisha. A delegation of Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) recently held discussion with Balakrishnan IAS, Chief Development Commissioner, Chitra Arumugham IAS, Textile Secretary, Subroto Bagchi, Skill Development Corporation Chairman, Bhubaneshwar and TEA General Secretary T R Vijayakumar about the textile park project and the State Government's textile & apparel policy.
During the three-day tour ,the delegation also visited the Ramdaspur, the place where textile park is being set up and observed the facilities offered. They also toured TITCO Industrial Corporation, which allocated 70 acres of land for the textile park in the state with the availability of water, power supply and road amenities.
